Walt Canes — Return & Refund Policy

We want you to love your Walt Canes purchase. If something isn't right, here's how returns and refunds work.
1. Return Window
You may return most items within 30 days of the delivery date for a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- Unused and in the same condition that you received it.
- In its original packaging.
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt).
2. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or refunded, except in cases of damage or defect (see Section 5):
- Canes that have been personalized or engraved to your specifications.
- Items marked as final sale at the time of purchase.
- Gift cards.
3. How to Start a Return
To begin a return:
- Email us at waltwoodcanes@gmail.com with your order number and the reason for the return.
- We'll confirm your return and provide instructions for sending the item back.
- Please do not send your item back before receiving return confirmation from us — items returned without prior authorization may not be accepted.
4. Return Shipping
- If you are returning an item because you changed your mind (not due to a defect or our error), you are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
- We recommend using a trackable shipping method, since we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item if it is lost in transit.
- If your item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse your return shipping cost.
5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your cane arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery at waltwoodcanes@gmail.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will provide a full refund, replacement, or exchange at no additional cost to you, including return shipping.
Because our canes are handcrafted from natural wood, minor variations in grain, color, and finish compared to product photos are expected and are not considered defects.
6. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except in cases covered under Section 5 (damaged, defective, or incorrect items).
- Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement.
7. Exchanges
If you'd like a different size, style, or finish instead of a refund, let us know when you contact us — we're happy to arrange an exchange, subject to product availability.
8. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven't received a refund after the timeframe above:
- Check your bank account or payment method again.
- Contact your credit card company or bank, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
