Handcrafted Laurel Wood Walking Cane
The Isthmus
A rare laurel wood walking cane with a grain that exists nowhere else.
The Isthmus is hand-fitted from laurel wood sourced in the highland forests of Central America — a dense, richly grained hardwood prized by furniture makers for its natural luster and strength. This piece carries warm amber tones with dark flame figuring running the length of the shaft, hand-matched at the joint where the handle meets the shaft.
Each Walt Cane is turned, fitted, and hand-rubbed with six coats of hardening oil to bring out the depth of the grain. It's built for daily use — dense enough to bear real weight, stable enough to resist warping — but designed first as a piece worth keeping, not replacing.
This is a solid hardwood cane for someone who wants a rare, handcrafted walking cane with a story, not a mass-produced mobility aid. If you're comparing this to an aluminum or folding travel cane, it's not a fit — and that's by design.
